October Country! Mortgage Credit Availability Falls To New Low (Since 2014) As 30Y Mortgage Rate Hover Near All-time Low

by confoundedinterest17

It’s Ray Bradbury’s October Country, alright.

Mortgage credit availability has declined to its lowest level since 2014 (and Fed Chair Janet Yellen) as 30-year mortgage rate hover near the all-time low.

As The Federal Reserve Balance sheet expanded to quell Covid, mortgage credit availability shrank and hasn’t recovered.

As an aside, I wish President Trump, the First Lady, Hope Hicks and others stricken with Covid a speedy recovery.
