Everyone says “tax the rich” but look at the actual numbers.
Someone earning $150,000 pays around $30,600 in federal tax.
Someone earning $25,000 pays about $1,200.
It takes 25 people at that lower income to contribute what one high earner pays alone.
So why keep pushing high earners to leave when they’re already carrying most of the load?
The real problem was never how much tax gets collected.
It’s how much gets wasted once it’s in the government’s hands.
Stop blaming the rich.
Start asking where the money actually goes.
Low earners also receive free services, while high earners don’t. So one is a net positive and the other a net negative. But hey, can’t fault anyone from wanting more… it’s part of the game.
