Online Industries To Invest In In 2023

Many of our roles and investments have gone online and today the mass appeal in investing in online technology, in the era of the metaverse and cryptocurrency is at an all time high.

The next 12 months will be no different and there are all manners of the online world that could be worth considering investing in. But where exactly should you be putting your money?

Artificial Intelligence

Perhaps the most obvious answer is artificial intelligence (AI). The market is expected to reach a staggering $309.6billion by 2026 and there are still many opportunities available to get involved with it.

Machine learning is huge and the technology is moving into just about every industry as they try to speed up processes, learn more about consumers and create a more tailored environment online.

It’s fast evolving, so getting the right investment is key, but do that and it will certainly make a mint.

Pornography

It may sound a little out there, but the adult entertainment business is a huge and growing market. With the likes of augmented reality and virtual reality growing and becoming more accessible, that’s only going to get bigger too.

In the USA alone the market is worth over $15 billion, and the number of people suffering from porn addiction is on the rise, perhaps highlighting just how large the market is.

Many experts have highlighted it as a space to invest in, purely because so many people actually do despite it being watched by hundreds of millions of people worldwide.

On-Demand services

Following a similar theme, the growth of on-demand streaming services is huge, and while Netflix may have pivoted their approach in recent months and is facing signs of a struggle, it’s still a hugely lucrative market.

Reports suggest that the industry in 2022 has seen a 52% year-on-year growth and between 2021 and 2026 will see an increase in value of $4.75 billion. It’s certainly an area to invest in right now, whether it be in the entertainment space, or in the likes of food delivery or transport services like Uber and Deliveroo.

Cybersecurity

Cybersecurity is now the most commonly reported crime in many countries, and the pace in which we’re becoming more and more digital is staggering. That means the demand for cybersecurity to be ever evolving is also there, and that isn’t going to change anytime soon.

It’s an industry worth around $170billion today and while it’s a competitive market, if you can find a unique position within it, it can be hugely lucrative.
