The so-called ‘Kids Online Safety Act’ is back again. Its bipartisan proponents are making up even more outrageous lies to sell Americans on their Orwellian internet censorship bill. Worse, a bipartisan committee agreed to move forward with a slate of additional internet censorship bills that would collectively stifle online speech in significant ways; paving the way for age verification and age gating and forcing websites to adhere to guidelines that will be weaponized by Republicans—and Donald Trump—for christian nationalist purposes.
