Even Fox News can’t hide their skepticism of the Trump effect ahead of crucial midterms.
Republicans are completely UNDERWATER on foreign policy, gas prices, and inflation, with Democrats holding significant leads on all three areas.
Trump’s approval rating has plunged to a RECORD LOW 36%, with a staggering 64% DISAPPROVAL and support actively shrinking inside his own party.
The president is currently jet-setting across the country on a midterm campaign blitz, strutting around like he’s top dog coming to save the GOP.
But when Fox News starts asking if Trump is sinking the entire party, you know the panic is real.

AP-NORC poll finds voters want major change, and Democrats are more motivated to vote
https://apnews.com/article/2026-midterms-trump-approval-economy-change-election-e12dd9b19013c75a3d4ede01c1b9d0c3
About half of registered voters want substantial change in how the country is run, while roughly three in ten want complete upheaval. Around three-quarters of Democratic voters say voting is extremely important, compared with roughly six in ten Republicans. That puts the GOP at risk on both public dissatisfaction and turnout.
Republicans pull campaign money from battlegrounds to defend their own seats
https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2026/10/15/midterms-map-is-shifting-whether-old-political-rules-still-apply/
Republican-aligned groups are redirecting money away from some previously competitive races, including North Carolina and Georgia, toward contests in traditionally Republican states and vulnerable GOP-held House districts. The retreat gives a concrete sign of the electoral pressure facing Republicans: some of their campaign resources are going toward protecting seats rather than expanding their majority.
Reuters/Ipsos: 78% blame Trump policies for rising prices
https://www.reuters.com/world/us/bipartisan-majority-americans-blame-trump-policies-rising-costs-reutersipsos-2026-10-09/
The poll found that 78% of Americans, including 64% of Republicans, believe the White House bears some responsibility for rising living costs. Fifty-seven percent of Republicans also said prices were rising faster than their paychecks. That directly undercuts Trump’s promise to bring prices down and shows the frustration reaching beyond Democratic voters.
