In case you don’t know about Rick, he and his family own a pawn shop in Las Vegas. He is a self-made millionaire (who never finished high school due to illness) and has been on TV for ten years doing “Pawn Stars.”
As a child, Harrison suffered from epileptic seizures starting at age eight, which would confine him to bed, and led to a lifelong love of reading. He survived government-run health care as a young child and does not endorse it.
He doesn’t believe in the government giving you everything. My favorite quotes of his in this speech:
“If you try hard enough, you can achieve anything in this country.”
“We just want the government out of our way.”
