- Sunday a Russian jet drone hit the engine of a Kyiv Warsaw passenger train near Yahodyn in Volyn. About 2 km from Poland. Passengers were pulled off about 15 minutes before impact. No casualties.
- Ukraine Railways said a diplomatic train had just been at the same station. On it were EU security advisers and former leaders including Boris Johnson. David Petraeus was said to be on another train at the station.
- Carl Bildt said the hit train was the one minutes behind his. His train got an evacuation warning then rolled into Dorohusk.
- Johnson called the strike random and senseless. He asked why seized Russian cash is still frozen. He was not on the locomotive that burned.
- Ukrzaliznytsia said it is quite possible the drone was meant for the diplomatic train, which left early after live timetable changes.
- Same morning a drone hit a truck about 800 meters from the Dorohusk Yahodyn crossing. A gas station caught fire. The crossing paused then reopened. Poland said no Polish injuries and no Polish airspace violation on that strike.
- Polish PM Donald Tusk held an emergency meeting. He said the coming weeks look hotter and Poland cannot rule out hits on its own soil. Sikorski called it an escalation and asked allies to double support.
- Ukraine FM Andrii Sybiha said Putin is knocking on the EU and NATO door.
- Lithuania at 4:05 a.m. tracked an object near Varėna heading to Kaliningrad. About 20 minutes over Lithuania. Crisis chief said it was probably a drone. NATO jets were not scrambled for that morning track. A later Vilnius alert was tied to birds.
