Swiss drugs regulator Swissmedic said on Wednesday it is examining potential risks in connection with bubbles that appeared in vials of COVID-19 vaccine boosters retooled to target the Omicron variant of the coronavirus
Swissmedic has been informed of the appearance of bubbles during preparation of the vaccine Comirnaty Bivalent Original/Omicron BA.1. Swissmedic is examining the potential risks in connection with the changes observed. As a precautionary measure, Swissmedic has informed the cantons and vaccination centres.
