Will anything come of this? Probably not, Why would congress vote on suiciding itself. More than half of the politicians in Congress are paid actors, turn coats, shills, and dirty. Is there a way to pass a law that would severely limit congressmen from being in power for more than the president. Some might argue that its the time spent in office that gives them the expertise, while others will say just the opposite, and that time is what corrupts.
Term limits would naturally drain the swamp.
