The fanbois’ will of course lambast, but short or long, you might be interested in Shanghai’s shut down showing up in early anecdotal Oceania figures, whilst we wait for the Chinese data on April sales and production for Tesla in China.

Analysts seem very behind the curve with many predicting over well over 300K sales still for the quarter, despite the Shanghai shutdown and other supply constraints. Tesla delivered 309K in 4Q and only 310K in 1Q.

More realistic predictions see qtrly production likely 250-270K and sales below 300K.

Musk was being pretty disingenuous when he said they ‘had a shot at 60% growth’ on the last earnings call, when he was well aware of the ongoing Shanghai issues at the time.

50% original 2022 growth guidance may actually even be hard met this year (please be realistic about German and Texas production progress, before you all start screaming for blood in your comments).
