The researchers require the collider to keep working, so they can keep scamming the world for billions in grant money.

They built it to find the Higgs Boson, and never did.
A few years ago they claimed they found a small particle that had a very small percentage chance of being something that could have decayed from the Higgs.
Rather than prove their experiment, which wasn’t ever duplicated, they all cracked open champagne and congratulated themselves.
Then the scientific community lauded the experiment and the collider for proving all the billions spent was worth it.
The problem is that like global warming researchers, they are being paid to find what they hypothesize.
Their purpose and income rides on them being proven right. So they fake the data. The Higgs Boson is required to prove that our current understanding of the universe is right.
The most likely conclusion is that we are wrong.
Ask someone at CERN, “What if there is no Higgs?.
They’ll tell you that if that is the case, then they are out of a job.
