55% of white liberals are currently atheist, agnostic or irreligious. Yet churches continue to liberalize against the will of their actual parishioners.
In 2010, 48% of white liberals were Catholic or Protestant. In 2020, it was 31%.
36% were nones in 2010. 55% in 2020. 1/3 atheist/agnostic.
White conservatives were largely unchanged. Prot/Cath. down 5 pts. Nones up 4 pts.
