The failed Justice for J6 rally gives me some flashbacks to rallies we had after Charlottesville in hopes of keeping the momentum up.
You see a lot of the same symptoms in the alt-conservative/Post-MAGA movement: tons of infighting, lack of trust or solidarity, accusing everyone of being feds (not that there weren’t some).
They’re running out of gas. The government repression is working. A lot of people on the right, especially the big name celebrities, are treacherous rats and cowards driven solely by money.
As much as alt-republicanism is a freak show and a scam, I can only cringe at the thought of the weird Evangelical (more Catholic this time around) Tea Party revival the GOP is working to replace it with.
