They want us to believe terrible working/living conditions is something to be proud of.

This problem was majorly highlighted in the pandemic but it’s been around much longer. Mainstream media keeps trying to normalize terrible working and living conditions. They did it with the nurses, teachers, emts, doctors, calling them heroes and brave while working them to death with 80-100hr weeks and undercutting their pay.

They try to get us excited about 8 year old’s who raised money for a friends surgeries, when in the richest country on earth that a child would have to worry about getting life saving treatment is ultimately dystopian.

They say our rail workers are the backbone of the country, but Democrats almost unanimously (and I think about half+ of Republicans) voted to take away their right to negotiate their contracts, their right to safe working conditions, taking away from their families for weeks at a time and leaving children to basically grow up with absent fathers (or mothers).

They say the military is important and spend trillions of our taxpayer dollars to fund weapons and intelligence, but veterans come back with a host of trauma and diseases, then wait months or years for any treatment from the VA. How can a country that spends so much on the military have this many homeless veterans?

This normalization of Americans working their ass off with nothing to show for it must end.
