Just like with media, the financial system is owned and controlled by a select few. More and more conglomerates exist as time goes on. Each crisis brings new opportunities for regulations to be modified to allow massive entities in response to a so called emergency scenario that is quickly forgotten. Eventually however, we will regret our passive attitude.
