Trump opens a new office in Florida

He has a plan?

Former US President Donald Trump opened an office in Florida on Monday to continue his administration’s agenda and handle his duties as a former president.

In a statement, the office said:

“The Office will be responsible for managing President Trump’s correspondence, public statements, appearances, and official activities to advance the interests of the United States and to carry on the agenda of the Trump Administration through advocacy, organizing, and public activism.”

Trump’s announcement came the same day the US House of Representatives delivered his second impeachment charge to the Senate for inciting insurrection at the Capitol earlier this month.

The Senate trial is expected to start on Feb. 9.

In farewell remarks last week, Trump told his supporters that he would return: “We love you. We will be back in some form.”

He hasn’t been seen publicly since that address and flight to his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida.

The Wall Street Journal reported that before leaving office, Trump talked with associates about forming his own political party called the ‘Patriot Party.’
