Trump rules out nuclear weapons against Iran; says MOAB is conventional and Pickaxe Mountain is under consideration

In a Newsmax interview published Thursday, Trump said, “I wouldn’t use nuclear. We don’t have to.” He confirmed the GBU-43/B “mother of all bombs” is not nuclear. He said the U.S. is looking at striking Pickaxe Mountain, a suspected underground nuclear site: “We’ll take a shot at that one. We’ll knock it out fast.” He said he does not see sending U.S. ground troops. CNN reported the day before that contingency plans include possible MOAB use on Iranian energy infrastructure and nuclear sites.
