U.S. HOME PRICES POST FASTEST GROWTH IN A YEAR
U.S. home prices rose 3.7% year-over-year in August, the strongest annual increase in a year, according to Redfin.
Prices increased just 0.25% month-over-month, continuing a gradual slowdown in monthly growth.

44.7% of U.S. home sales included seller concessions in August, the highest share for the month since at least 2020. Buyers are getting help with closing costs, repairs and mortgage-rate buydowns even while headline prices remain elevated.
