Ukraine says Starlink military terminals throttled mid-mission. Comes as Washington presses Kyiv to stop refinery strikes.

Presidential adviser Serhiy Beskrestnov and units reported sudden limits on the military-grade version (Starshield) for terminals moving above roughly 100–160 km/h. Connections dropped for 10–20 seconds. Several combat drone missions canceled or disrupted. Musk said Starlink itself is not licensed for weapons use and the military network is under U.S. government control, not SpaceX. Timing lines up with U.S. pressure on Ukraine to halt long-range strikes on Russian oil infrastructure after Trump’s energy ceasefire announcement. Zelenskyy had already complained about lack of early warning on recent Russian ballistic strikes that hit power plants and left 600,000 without electricity. Ukraine says it intercepted only four of 39 missiles in the latest wave.
