The cops do not know who the hell is who when they walk in, they want to make sure they aren’t getting shot first thing off. While the store owner was right he is allowed to be armed, he should just have shut up in the meanwhile. You have the right to be armed and they have the authority to ask you to disarm yourself while they do their job.
I also agree this was excessive unnecessary violence as a reaction, on the cops part. Both parties were wrong.
