Violence on Both Sides

I told you this Unite the Right rally would be one you will remember. But I never thought it would be like this.

The unfortunate and violent events that occurred in Charlottesville last weekend were a tragedy. We cannot accept the loss of life over political violence. The mainstream media has distorted the truth as they always do. And President Trump has fought back against this one-sided narrative spewing out through the airwaves to the dullards believing the propaganda. The alt-left is real and is much more violent and against free speech than those on the alt-right. Believe me.

Yes, there were Nazis there. Yes, there were white supremacists there. But they do not make up anywhere close to a majority of the peaceful right-wing patriots present with a legal permit to rally to protest the renaming of Emancipation Park and defending of the Robert E. Lee statue that is testament to our combative history as a young nation.

There is violence on both sides of this issue. Many on the right showed up ready for a fight. Just as many on the left, including the aggressively violent Antifa, also geared up for battle in the college town of Virginia last weekend. We cannot blame one side for this tragic day. Both are to blame. One cannot hold the history of the KKK and the Nazis as proof that the alt-right at this rally were the ones who instigated the violence and are the only ones to blame for it.

The Charlottesville police are much to blame. There was an order given down from on high, likely from Governor Terry McAuliffe, a huge Clinton supporter, to allow this gathering to get out of hand and it resulted in the deaths of three people. This is what happens when we allow political violence in this country. When you do not protect people’s right to free speech and allow events like this to escalate to this degree, this is the only result.

In a combative news conference on Tuesday, President Trump came out swinging, defending his response to the protests last weekend, again saying both sides were to blame for the clashes. He hit a home run in my opinion, but the mainstream media decry it as proof that the Donald really is a racist or defenders of racists.

“You had a group on one side that was bad and you had a group on the other side that was also very violent and nobody wants to say that but I’ll say it right now,” Trump declared. He added: “You had a group on the other side that came charging in without a permit. They were very violent.” This is what the media overlooks. The Unite the Right rally had a permit and were there to peacefully protest and listen to like-minded speakers. Those violent thugs on the left showed up to attack them and shut it down. So, of course the alt-right will prepare to defend themselves when they have been under attack from these dangerous groups in the past.

“I’ve condemned neo-Nazis,” Trump said. “I’ve condemned many different groups. But not all of those people were neo-Nazis, believe me. Not all of those people were white supremacists, by any stretch. Those people were there because they wanted to protest the taking down of a statue, Robert E. Lee.” These are the facts. This is the truth. But the left is melting down because Trump did not condemn the racist Nazis and white supremacists present at the rally quickly enough. An investigation needs to be undertaken into the police response, or lack thereof, at this horrific event that could have been much less violent if handled property, resulting in no deaths or minimal injuries.

Former Virginia Governor Jim Gilmore, now president of the American Opportunity Foundation, said, “While we support the police, we know they do a good job, we don’t know what direction they got at the time of the Charlottesville riots.” There have been multiple reports from individuals on the ground stating that the police stood by and even backed off as the fights started. When the violence escalated, police had to leave to get proper equipment and they did not have any plan to keep the groups separate or protect them from someone driving a car into them.

Gilmore added, “They didn’t have a plan to separate these groups. The governor seems to be blaming everybody else.” McAuliffe and his leftist shills wanted this catastrophe to happen so they could blame the rise of Nazism and white supremacy in America to Donald Trump. However, this is simply the natural result of the presidency of Barack Obama, who empowered dangerous and deadly hate groups such as Black Lives Matter and Antifa. No one cared when Obama failed to condemn BLM when they were responsible for the assassination of five police officers in Dallas.

Gilmore said, “In this case there was no plan apparently to divide these people from one to the other. We need to know, we need to be advised as to what action was taken or not taken.”

The outrage from the left has been swift and irresponsible as usual.

Even the usually apolitical Jimmy Fallon weighed in on the issue, saying, “The fact that it took the president two days to come out and clearly denounce racists and white supremacists is shameful.” The hatred over anything Trump does continues to amaze me. This is the obvious backlash to eight years of Obama and the normalization of political violence that has been rampant in California’s liberal bastions of San Jose and Berkeley. Trump supporters have been under attack and now they are fighting back.

This cannot be the way we live our lives. We must stand up for what we believe in. But we cannot attack each other in this way if we are to succeed as a nation. Listen to both sides. Stop yelling at each other, beating each other down, dismissing the other side outright, spewing out incorrect facts, and focus on what truly unites all of us as a people: the fact that we are all Americans.

  1. The Very Fine People will continue to gain steam. At some point, don’t you think the alt-right will have finally put up with enough of this Commie violence? The charade can only go on for so long.

  2. Check out Jason Kessler, the supposed organizer of the Alt Rights protest at Charlotte. He allegedly was an Occupy Wall Street Protestor and an Obama supporter up to 2014, perhaps 2016! Did Soros fund ALL sides and the Mayor and Governor stood down the police and State Troopers for this to happen?
    .
Someone needs to sue these people/organizations to find out the truth. This is straight out of the rise of the NAZIs when the International BANKSTERS funded BOTH the Commies and NAZIs so they’d fight in the streets and THEY could take over regardless of which side won!

  3. The Tea Party did a better job in screening out white racists and KKK from their marches and rallies. The conservatives who joined the rally did a poor job of that and now are suffering from the bad PR.

  4. The Mayor and Police Chief of Charlotte criminally conspired with malice and aforethought to “stand down” the police So that they could PERSONALLY PROFIT both politically and monetarily. They both knew that extreme right groups would attract violent extreme left groups and the George Soros funded BLM/antifa American ISIS terrorist hate groups would engage in bigoted violence just as they did in Ferguson and Berkley. The Mayor and Police Chief are “accessories before the fact” in the death of that Miss Heyer,. Whenever a murder occurs in the midst of commission of a criminal conspiracy the conspirators are guilty of the murder along with the perpetrator.
Virginia law state that it is “unlawful for any person over 16 years of age to, with the intent to conceal his identity, wear any mask, hood or other device whereby a substantial portion of the face is hidden or covered so as to conceal the identity of the wearer, to be or appear in any public place, or upon any private property in this Commonwealth without first having obtained from the owner or tenant thereof consent to do so in writing.” These police failed in one of their most basic duties http://law.lis.virginia.gov/vacode/title18.2/chapter9/section18.2-422/
