Walmart has slashed paid time off for workers forced off duty by Covid to one week, just days after the CDC cut its recommended isolation period for positive infections from 10 to 5 days.
The US’ largest private employer – with a 1.6MN workforce – also extended work-from-home advice for corporate employees to the end of January.
Walmart is cutting paid leave in half for workers who test positive for Covid-19 or have to quarantine after exposure to the virus, offering only one week through March 31 rather than two. t.co/fusQSaabKo
