Warsh declines to signal October rate hike; futures mixed, Asia rebounds

Fed Chair Kevin Warsh spoke overnight in Bangkok and did not indicate greater urgency to raise rates despite this week’s hot CPI and PPI. Traders pared October hike odds. U.S. stock futures were mixed early Friday. The 10-year yield held near 5.10 percent. Asia rebounded: Kospi up more than 2 percent after Thursday’s 7.6 percent drop, Nikkei up about 1.8 percent. CoreWeave remained under pressure premarket. Import and export price indexes and industrial production data are due this morning.
