I was wondering why gold has been unexpectedly rising and then checked the TIC data.
Last Treasury TIC release shows a drop of 475B in foreign holdings of treasuries year over year. NOTHING CLOSE TO THAT AMOUNT HAS EVER HAPPENED!
OCT 21: 7660.7
