WE’RE WATCHING YOU: White House warns 3,000 conservative groups

Is loyalty to the president becoming a requirement? So much for free speech.

Conservative groups publicly question the White House’s warning

The memo arrived while conservative organizations were openly criticizing Trump’s handling of the economy, tariffs and Iran war. The White House highlighted its monitoring sentence in yellow. A former Trump White House aide publicly objected, saying the administration should be listening to its allies rather than warning them that they are being watched.

Republican leaders blame Trump for the election losses

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis called the result a rebuke of Trump and Congress. Senator Ted Cruz blamed tariffs and the prolonged Iran war. Vice President JD Vance also said the war contributed to the defeat. The monitoring memo was sent while the president’s own political coalition was beginning to fracture.
