The jist is true but it isn’t totally accurate.
According to a report from the Institute for Policy Studies and Americans for Tax Fairness., which was based on Forbes data, the combined fortune of America’s 660 billionaires as of January 18 had climbed to $4.1 trillion, representing an increase of 38.6% compared to their collective net worth in mid-March of 2020.
Which means their profits increased only 1.1 trillion.
