More than 100 scientists at Los Alamos National Laboratory could be fired Monday
A legal challenge backed by dozens of scientists and other employees at Los Alamos National Laboratory to block a vaccine mandate was denied by a New Mexico judge Friday, putting the workers at risk of termination if they don’t adhere to the vaccination deadline by the afternoon deadline.
The group is made up of scientists, nuclear engineers, research technicians, designers, project managers and other employees who joined the attempt to block the mandate. Several of the employees are specialists with high security clearance, working in national defense, infrastructure and Covid research.
