Frozen wellheads have reduced supply and somebody won’t get enough. This has caused a bidding war between regional suppliers. Gas has gone from $3 to as high as $450.
And this is driving electricity up from 12 cents to $4 a kw.
Word is electricity bills will be in the thousands of dollars at the end of this billing cycle, though they aren’t expected to remain high.
