National deputies of the Frente de Todos (FDT), headed by the leader of the Corriente, Clasista y Combativa, Juan Carlos Alderete, presented a project that proposes declaring natural reserves that contain lithium , most of which are in the northern provinces. The text aims for the State to lead the exploitation and exploration of a key resource for the development of the country.
The initiative – promoted by Alderete – also bears the signatures of the national deputies of the FDT, Verónica Caliva, Sergio Palazzo, Daniel Gollán, Julio Pereyra, Carolina Natalia Arricau, María Rosa Martínez, Leopoldo Moreau, Blanca Osuna, Natalia Souto and Claudia Beatriz Ormachea . In this regard, the social leader expressed: “It is essential that we take the defense of our sovereignty into our hands, and protect the national interests related to this strategic natural resource and advance in concrete measures that allow industrialization at source with due environmental and of respect for the original peoples”.
