Democrats EXPOSED: Denver Democrat Mayor’s Son Attacks Cop With Profane / Homophobic Slurs (VIDEO)

A leaked police body cam video shows a disturbing encounter, in which a young man berates a cop with homophobic slurs for giving him a speeding ticket. The young man’s identity is causing even more outrage.

The man in the video, 22-year-old Jordan Hancock, is the son of Denver Mayor Michael Hancock, a Democrat who was a vocal supporter of former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. Mayor Hancock has already had his hands full lately, juggling sex harassment accusations against him.

In the video, Jordan Hancock brags about his father being the Denver mayor, and threaten the cop with his job for pulling him over. Hancock was traveling 25 miles over the speed limit in the Denver suburb of Aurora when he was stopped, and the Aurora cop seemed unimpressed with his threats.

Mayor Hancock has been weathering a scandal of his own, as he was recently accused of sexual harassment by a Denver police detective. He has resisted calls to resign over the allegations.

A police body camera video leaked to Contact7 Investigates shows the son of Denver Mayor Michael Hancock using a slur against an Aurora police officer during a traffic stop.

“My dad’s the mayor, you f*cking fagg*t,” Jordan Hancock is shown saying in the video clip.

“Of Denver? Well you’re in Aurora,” the officer responds.

“Guess what, I’m about to get you fired you fucking bitch,” Hancock is heard saying later.

The video clip sent to Contact7 Investigates by an anonymous source is only about 20 seconds long and ends with 22-year-old Hancock driving away. Denver7 requested the full video from Aurora police but the request was declined.

Denver7 has learned that after requesting a copy of Jordan Hancock’s ticket and the body camera video, the Aurora Police Department alerted the office of Denver’s mayor. APD said it notified Mayor Hancock’s office as a “courtesy.”

A traffic ticket issued to Jordan Hancock says he was driving 65 miles an hour in a 40 miles per hour zone. In the ticket, the officer wrote, “Attitude very poor-see video.”

The ticket was issued by an Aurora police officer on Friday, March 23, 2018 near the intersection of East 40th Avenue and North Walden Street shortly before 8 a.m.

Jordan Hancock made a mandatory court appearance Monday morning and agreed to pay a $250 fine. When asked by the judge why he was driving so fast, Hancock explained he was running late.

The Aurora police chief, Nick Metz, seems more concerned about the leaking of the body cam video than the actions it captured, in this statement to the press.

“However, it is of great concern to the Aurora Police Department that the video was released without departmental authorization, especially while the matter is pending prosecution. We will be conducting an internal investigation into this matter to determine the circumstances under which this video was released. Any member who is found to have violated departmental policies and procedures will be held accountable.”

Jordan Hancock did not want to discuss the video with the press, who have uncovered other questionable behavior from his past.

After the court appearance, Denver7 asked Jordan Hancock to explain what happened during the 20-second video clip. Denver7 asked Hancock about his choice of language, his decision to say he was the mayor’s son, and his threat to get the officer fired. Hancock did not respond to any of the questions.

Jordan Hancock was also a witness to a shooting that happened in Fort Collins in October 2014, according to court documents obtained by Denver7 that year. He was a college student in Atlanta at the time.

He and other witnesses claimed no one in the car had a gun when the shooting happened, but police said one of the men in the car had actually shot the other man. But a witness said the gun had been tossed from the vehicle, though detectives didn’t recover it.

In October 2014, when Denver7 first reported he was in the car when another man was shot, the mayor’s spokeswoman, Amber Miller, sent Denver7 the following statement at the time: “Jordan is shaken by this incident, as any teenager would be. He provided a full statement to the FCPD. He has headed back to school in Atlanta and will continue helping with the investigation as a witness to the event. The Hancock family is heartbroken by this terrible incident and hopes and prays Jalen Robinson will recover quickly and that the case comes to a swift resolution.”

Mayor Hancock declined requests for an interview to discuss the video, but his office did send a written statement:

“We addressed this matter with Jordan and he has apologized to the Officer. While we do not support nor condone his inexcusable actions and words during this traffic stop, we love our son dearly and support him.”

The younger Hancock has been linked to a Twitter account that makes anti-cop statements like “F*** the Police.”

The scandal comes just a month after Mayor Hancock was accused of sexual harassment by Denver Police Detective Leslie Branch-Wise, who served on his protection detail. The city council refused to investigate the mayor, claiming it does not want to “re-victimize” Branch-Wise. She says the council is participating in a cover-up.

That led to protests in March, calling for Hancock to resign.

Washington Post ignores it in the headline.
