FYI the US Congress has the power to coin money and regulate value, but the 1T coin folks haven’t read the full text of the Federal Reserve Act.
Anyway – technically speaking Congress Assembled could order the US Mint to take a handful of old NY subway tokens, scratch ‘ONE TRILLION DOLLARS’ on each of them and tell the “bankers” at the Federal Reserve to f*ck off.
They don’t.
