Dow closes up 1.08 percent, S&P +0.33 percent as money rotates out of AI names

The Dow finished Thursday at 52,177.69, up 556 points. The S&P closed at 7,744.06, up 0.33 percent. The Nasdaq eked out a 0.08 percent gain after trading down more than 1 percent early. The Russell 2000 rose 1.3 percent. Health care, materials and discretionary led; technology and energy lagged. The 10-year yield fell to 5.10 percent. Wednesday’s hot CPI and CoreWeave’s bond/CDS stress drove the initial selloff; the rebound was a rotation into non-AI stocks.
