Dr. Fauci opens up the possibility that the COVID-19 vaccine could be making people more likely to be infected by the virus.

“If you vaccinate someone, and they make an antibody response, and then they get exposed and infected, does the response that you induce enhance the infection and make it worse? The only way you’ll know that is if you do an extended study [not on volunteers, but on the public at risk].”
What Fauci is referring to is breakthrough infections, and given these words from March 2020, he is fully aware that the vaccine has the potential to make people more susceptible to coronavirus infection.
We’ve seen this phenomenon worldwide, where some of the countries with the highest vaccination rates on the planet are also suffering from a surge in COVID cases.
Some examples where the vaccines were counterintuitive that he referred to was in a respiratory virus vaccine in children and the HIV vaccine that made people more likely to be infected by HIV.
