Evacuations
Lafourche Parish officials are enacting a voluntary evacuation for the entire parish. Residents who live in low-lying areas, mobile homes and RVs are especially vulnerable, parish officials said.
Port Fourchon issued a recommended evacuation.
Shelters
A shelter in Raceland will open at noon Saturday at 221 Recreation Drive.
Schools
All public and Catholics schools in Terrebonne and Lafourche will be closed Monday. Friday will proceed as a normal school day.
Terrebonne Parish public schools will be closed Monday.
Lafourche Parish public schools will be closed Monday. Friday will proceed as a normal school day.
All Catholic schools in Terrebonne and Lafourche parishes will be closed Monday.
Fletcher Technical Community College in Schriever will close at 1 p.m. Friday.
Closings and cancellations
Saturday’s SARAH drug overdose candlelight vigil and rally in Houma has been postponed. A new date will be announced later.
The Weir Removal Boat Parade that was scheduled for Saturday afternoon has been postponed. A new date for the event will be announced at a later time.
The football jamboree at South Terrebonne has been canceled. The teams scheduled to play were Ellender, Thibodaux and South Terrebonne.

Sandbags are available in Terrebonne Parish, as of 8 a.m. Aug. 27, at both self-serve and prefilled locations. All are self-serve unless noted otherwise.
