Pacific Gas and Electric shut off power in parts of 12 Northern California counties late Sunday, including Lake and Napa counties, in the wake of high fire danger!

Power lines remain deactivated in communities throughout Northern California where fire-risk is considered extreme. About 17,500 PG&E customers in Napa, Lake and Sonoma counties affected.

Extremely critical wildfire conditions today (October 15) for Southern California as seasonal Santa Ana winds return. As a reminder, acres burned YTD in 2018 is already the most for California dating to 1994.

Updated report on wind gusts across the area. Peak gusts in the last couple of hours include 75 mph at Fremont Canyon, 60 mph near Mission Viejo, 55 mph near San Clemente, and 47 mph at Ontario Airport. #cawx
