Harvesting in a Trade War: U.S. Crops Rot as Storage Costs Soar – Trump Transparency

by Thinker

How many Americans are old enough to remember when towns and cities in the U.S. were almost completely self sufficient??? There was little need to go in search for any food product, because there was someone within twenty miles that had whatever food need someone had. There was a time when almost every backyard in America had a garden in it and the need to purchase vegtables at the store wasn’t necessary.

Now farmers are paid to grow certain products, and sometimes paid to not grow anything at all. All part of trade and profits for some and nothing for the consumer…the people. From organic to GMO, now those famers are throwing away those crops, because they aren’t organic. If they were, any nation in the world would take them. American GMO soybeans are’t in demand anymore, because everyone has seen the results of the French scientists who results in lab rats from GMO food is not good for health. China doesn’t want to have the high numbers of sick people as the U.S. whose citizens comsume mass amounts of GMO foods.

Why is the cancer/tumor rate so high in a nation with the most hospitals and medicine???

Could it be the GMO’s…what happened to the rats??? – GMO Study: Rats Fed Lifetime of GM Develop Mass Tumors, Die Early

By Anthony Gucciardi

A new GMO study may very well change the way that the world looks at GMOs once and for all. Complete with shocking and very disturbing photos of rats with tumors larger than a golf ball in size, a new French GMO study has concluded that rats fed a lifelong diet consisting of Roundup-containing genetically modified corn suffered serious consequences. While the onset of tumors was the most obvious and damaging effect, the researchers reveal that the rats also received heavy amounts of damage to multiple organs.

As a result of the mass tumors, liver and kidney damage, it was concluded that around 50% of the males and 70% of the females died prematurely as a result of eating only Roundup tolerant seed or drinking water with Roundup as approved levels set by the United States government. In comparison, only 30% of males and 20% of females died prematurely while consuming traditional alternatives. The San Francisco Chronicle rightly states that the study ‘rocks the GMO debate’.

The news comes just days after France decided to ban the last remaining GMO currently allowed in Europe, Monsanto’s GM maize crop. The study is now under assault by pro-GMO scientists and corporations despite being labeled “the:

YAHOO Reports / BATTLE FOR WORLD – November 21, 2018: The article highlights that U.S. farmers finishing their harvests are facing a big problem – where to put the mountain of grain they cannot sell to Chinese buyers. For Louisiana farmer Richard Fontenot and his neighbors who also farms, the solution was a costly one: Let the crops rot.

Fontenot plowed under 1,000 of his 1,700 soybean acres this fall (2018), chopping plants into the dirt instead of harvesting more than $300,000 worth of beans for storage and eventual sale. Because the beans were damaged by bad weather, made worse by a wet harvest. Normally, he could sell them anyway to a local elevator – giant silos usually run by international grains merchants that store grain.

But this year they aren’t buying as much damaged grain and the elevators are already chock full, he said. “No one wants them,” said Fontenot in a telephone interview. As he spoke, he drove his tractor across a soybean field, tilling under his crop. “I don’t know what else to do.”

Across the United States, grain farmers are:
