Los Angeles County Is Now Under a Shelter in Place Order
Los Angeles, like San Francisco…, now has its own shelter-in-place mandate, which is being called a “Safer at Home” order. City mayor Eric Garcetti, Los Angeles County Supervisor Kathryn Barger, and Department of Public Health Director Dr. Barbara Ferrer jointly announced the new imperative in a press conference just moments ago, which means a mandatory (and temporary) closure of all non-essential businesses. County Supervisor Barger did not give a timeline for the lifting of the order.
