The Fed, in spite of the alleged “stable prices” mandate, is trying for a CPI of 2%-ish (meaning the real cost of living is much higher).
Maybe we wouldn’t need a $15 an hour minimum wage if the Fed wasn’t forever trying to destroy our purchasing power.
