A new form of censorship – Wayback Machine (an internet archive website) is removing “deplatformed” websites
Wayback Machine, which archives old websites, is moving into a new form of censorship. Now, it is not letting various saved old webpages be found.
For those who don’t know, Wayback Machine is a pretty powerful site. You can type in a website and find older versions of it from various dates. It’s incredibly useful for finding out about sites that no longer exist and it’s a cool little internet time travel device to see what things used to be like. It is now being compromised, as they removing old results from the internet forever. This new censorship technique can be used to hide all kinds of things and make re-writing history that much easier.
