People that are fully vaccinated, but are scared of people who are not… May I ask why?

I had an incident this past weekend, i coach a teen competitive soccer team. And this weekend was the first weekend in months where you didn’t need to show your vaccine passport to enter public / city owned business ( such as rec centre’s & arenas). We had a couple parents on our team who never attended any of the games, as they were unvaxxed and were never allowed to enter. They showed up this weekend to watch their child play soccer, good for them right? Kids were pumped to have mom & dad in the stands. Well no, i had a select group of parents send me some really nasty emails wondering why i would put their children at risk, letting these unvaxxed parents attend the games ( which obviously as a coach, i have no power over whatsoever), how they felt unsafe being in a ginormous arena with people who are not vaxxed blah blah… one parent even threatening to pull her child off the team is these parents keep attending games.

I just want to know, what’s the big deal?? If you & your family are vaccinated, then why should it matter if little Tommy’s parents are not? Please help me understand!

I’m vaccinated, and i could truly care less who is / isn’t. We’re 2 years into this, and Covid doesn’t give a shit if you’re vaxxed or not, anyone can still get it. You have just as much chance to get Covid as someone who’s not vaxxed, the only difference being your vaccine is allegedly suppose to protect you from getting severely sick.
