Reward Offered in Officer Assault Case

The FBI Salt Lake City Field Office is offering a reward of up to $12,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of an unidentified male who assaulted a police officer.

On May 30, 2020, during protests in Salt Lake City, Utah, people in the crowd threw rocks, one of which hit a Salt Lake City police officer in the hand, causing severe injury.

Details:

The Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Salt Lake City Field Office is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying an individual responsible for the burning of a Salt Lake City Police Department patrol vehicle on May 30, 2020.

At approximately 3:30 p.m., in the vicinity of 400 South and 200 East in Salt Lake City, Utah, protestors overturned and set fire to a patrol vehicle.
