A new report from the Institute for Family Studies (IFS) suggests that a faith-centered life may be the key to a happy marriage.
Decades of sneering from Hollywood and the progressive left have convinced millions of Americans that church and religion itself are relics of a dying era. But a new report from the Institute for Family Studies (IFS) suggests that a faith-centered life may still be the key to a happy marriage.
The study finds that the shrinking share of Americans who still attend church regularly enjoy the happiest and most durable marriages in the country. Those who drifted away from their faith were more likely to report unsuccessful marriages and relationships.

Here’s an interesting quote from the research:
“Christian couples have more sex. Even the most intimate expression of connection in a marriage bears this out: religious couples enjoy significantly more sex, and more sexual satisfaction, than their secular peers. Indeed, they have been largely untouched by today’s “sex recession”—with a strong majority of churchgoing spouses (62%) having sex at least once a week now, even as sex drops for nonreligious spouses to the point where only a minority (48%) have sex at least weekly. Churchgoers also have 1.42 times higher odds of being sexually satisfied than husbands and wives who are not religiously active.”
In short, Christians have more sex and better sex than secular or nonbelieving couples.
