You know sometimes what you are looking for is right in front of your nose, but you just fail to see it. That is what happened on the Rush Limbaugh show. While on air, Rush discovered an article, sharing it immediately with his audience. The article is from The New York Times, and I am sure many of us may have seen it. We receive so much news each day now, we fail to really take time to read it all. Who has that kind of time? I am glad Rush Limbaugh took the time to read it, as it has very important information in it. It helps to validate President Trump’s accusations of the wiretapping of Trump Tower.
Rush said this:
“And I think in addition to whatever else these tweets are intended to accomplish, it’s also a direct line to the Democrat Party and Obama and members of the Obama administration that Trump is signaling, ‘You don’t face the usual feckless bunch of opponents who never fight you back. You’ve got me here, and if you’re gonna start lying about me, if you’re gonna keep lying about me, I’m not gonna sit here and take it.’”
But is that message grounded in reality, despite denials from Obama? Limbaugh says yes. In his program, he referenced a New York Times report about wiretap information being used as part of the Obama administration’s probe of some of Trump’s aides.
“So it isn’t unreasonable at all for Donald Trump to suspect that he’s being tapped, that his aides are being tapped, at Trump Tower,” said Limbaugh. “We know that there were two FISA warrants that were issued starting last summer and then another one in October …. It’s kind of unsettling. I mean, you don’t want to think things like this happen, but you know that they do, and so you have to face it.”
Rush is right, you don’t want to think you have no privacy whatsoever, but I myself have already accepted that. I am not ashamed of what I do and say, so I try to cope with it by knowing that. But still it is wrong, and I seem to remember someone saying quite some time back, someday you would not be able to hide anything – everything will be out in the open for the whole world to see.
That is the bittersweet world of the Internet and modern technology. Man has created his own fiber optic hell, and there is no going back. In saying that, I am certain we will end up destroying ourselves mired up in a swamp of circuits, as we continue our daily tech grind. To tell you the truth we are in a lot of trouble, and that is where we finding ourselves due to our overindulgence of our phones, laptops, and information addiction. Only divine intervention can help us now.
THE NEW YORK TIMES –
Intercepted Russian Communications Part of Inquiry Into Trump Associates
American law enforcement and intelligence agencies are examining intercepted communications and financial transactions as part of a broad investigation into possible links between Russian officials and associates of President-elect Donald J. Trump, including his former campaign chairman Paul Manafort, current and former senior American officials said.
The F.B.I. is leading the investigations, aided by the National Security Agency, the C.I.A. and the Treasury Department’s financial crimes unit. The investigators have accelerated their efforts in recent weeks but have found no conclusive evidence of wrongdoing, the officials said. One official said intelligence reports based on some of the wiretapped communications had been provided to the White House.
Numerous news outlets, including The New York Times, have reported on the F.B.I. investigations into Mr. Trump’s advisers. BBC and then McClatchy revealed the existence of a multiagency working group to coordinate investigations across the government.
Trump’s campaign, such as Mr. Page, a former Merrill Lynch banker who founded Global Energy Capital, an investment firm in New York that has done business with Russia.
In an interview on Thursday, Mr. Page expressed bewilderment about why he might be under investigation. He blamed a smear campaign — that he said was orchestrated by Mrs. Clinton — for media speculation about the nature of his ties to Russia.
“I did nothing wrong, for the 5,000th time,” he said. His adversaries, he added, are “pulling a page out of the Watergate playbook.”
The lingering investigations will pose a test for Senator Jeff Sessions, Republican of Alabama, who has been nominated for attorney general. If Mr. Sessions is confirmed, he will for a time be the only person in the government authorized to seek foreign intelligence wiretaps on American soil.
Mr. Sessions said at his confirmation hearing that he would recuse himself from any investigations involving Mrs. Clinton. He was not asked whether he would do so in cases involving associates of Mr. Trump.
Team Obama’s current theory is that there is no evidence that Trump Tower was hacked so President Trump is nuts for tweeting it and he’s trying to gin up this fake news to hide the left’s issue – that the Russians threw the election so that Trump won. I mean how else could that delightful Hillary Clinton NOT have won the election?
[insert clown Hillary]
In a story, written on Inauguration Day, Jan. 20th, by lead writer Michael S. Schmidt, the front page New York Times headline read:
“Wiretapped Date Used in Inquiry of Trump Aides”
In other words, Trump’s Aides – who, during the transition period worked in Trump Tower – were wiretapped by the government as part of an investigation of the business dealings of campaign advisors.
But, it gets better – and hat tip to Rush Limbaugh for pointing this out. On Saturday – just two days ago – the very same Michael S Schmidt wrote:
“Trump Offering No Evidence, Says Obama Tapped His Phones.”
So here was the Jan. 20th story an the front page of the NYT:
“WASHINGTON — American law enforcement and intelligence agencies are examining intercepted communications and financial transactions as part of a broad investigation into possible links between Russian officials and associates of President-elect Donald J. Trump, including his former campaign chairman Paul Manafort, current and former senior American officials said.”
“The continuing counterintelligence investigation means that Mr. Trump will take the oath of office on Friday with his associates under investigation and after the intelligence agencies concluded that the Russian government had worked to help elect him. As president, Mr. Trump will oversee those agencies and have the authority to redirect or stop at least some of these efforts.”
