Tanzania Secretly Test Fruit — Lab Says It’s Positive For COVID

COVID-19: Pawpaw and goat test positive for virus – President Magufuli

According to President Magufuli, people who tested positive for the virus may not be sick. He cast doubt on the credibility of laboratory equipment and technicians.

President John Magufuli of Tanzania has stated that a pawpaw, a goat and a quail tested positive for coronavirus in the country.

He said this was after he secretly had a variety of animals, fruits and vehicle oil tested at the national laboratory.

President of Tanzania John Magufuli has outsmarted everybody. He allowed coronavirus testing kits to be imported into his country. He then instructed that they be checked by Tanzanian security officials. They tested non-human samples, including a goat and a pawpaw (fruit). The test were given human names and ages as they were sent off for results. They tested positive. A fruit. A goat. President Magufuli said, “Something is happening.”

Tanzania suspends laboratory head after president questions coronavirus tests

DAR ES SALAAM (Reuters) – Tanzania has suspended the head of its national health laboratory in charge of testing for the coronavirus and ordered an investigation, a day after President John Magufuli questioned the tests’ accuracy.

Magufuli said on Sunday the imported test kits were faulty as they had returned positive results on a goat and a pawpaw — among several non-human samples submitted for testing, with technicians left deliberately unaware of their origins.
