The Polish government is a bad actor, the worst of all the NATO countries, in this conflict. They are behaving worse than the US and Ukraine. The EU is deferring their sanctions (for now) as a doggy treat.
What is so baffling about that is that if US/EU sanctions work on influencing Russia, Brussels and Washington will be targeting Poland and Hungary for economic terrorism next.
Russia is large enough to withstand a lot of pressure, Poland and Hungary will either be forced to join the Russian sphere or wither.
