The Front Line of This War Runs Through Art Galleries in Ankara and Christmas Festivities in Berlin

by Pamela Williams
Dr. Sebastian Gorka studies the war on terrorism as a profession, and I consider him to be the source to go to for answers on this subject. The heart-breaking attacks we have just witnessed is a step up in the war. The tactics are beginning to penetrate and intrude into the joys of living in a civilized society.
First, we see Christians celebrating with joy at a Christmas market in Germany. I cannot think of anything I would rather do than buy Christmas gifts for the ones I love. These people are in hospital beds and morgues…never to experience the joy of Christmas again. Yet, being people of faith their lives will go on…whether they live or die.
We must accept we as a people are jaded and worn from what we have learned during this time in the history of mankind. We are experiencing trauma, and many of us live in a daily state of shock.
The Russian Ambassador to Turkey was shot in the back, while speaking at an art gallery. People were no doubt absorbed in the art and the words from the Ambassador. There were beautiful paintings hung on the walls, and no one was expecting a gunman…a policeman…to walk in and assassinate the Ambassador as he spoke. He was probably an art lover…maybe even an expert on some of the paintings.
Some news media outlets are allegedly reporting that ISIS has taken responsibility for both attacks.  However, there are some reporting that the US has denied any involvement and further speculations.  It concerns me that they would even mention the US, for I just read Trump and Putin are coming together to fight the war on terror.  This is quoted from counterjihadreport.com:
Gorka said the attacks were “yet again verification that in this war, there isn’t a front line like there was in World War I or World War II.”“The front line is when you leave your house in the morning. The front line is in art galleries. The front line is at Christmas festivities in Berlin,” he said. “The fact is, Europe is at war. America is at war, and the jihadis are already in place.” “We saw in Ankara that this is perhaps the most grievous example of insider threat. This is a police officer. This isn’t somebody who came off a boat yesterday out of Syria,” Gorka said of the man who murdered Russian ambassador Andrey Karlov. “This is somebody who clearly was trained with a weapon, who was carrying a weapon. That is perhaps the most insidious potential threat that we have to face.”

Aiming to incite a Russian attack following the assassination of Moscow’s envoy to Turkey on Monday, the terrorists published distributed documents containing addresses and contact details of Russian embassies. The jihadis are calling for more terror attacks, after having claimed responsibility for the Berlin tragedy on Monday, in which 12 people died and 48 were injured when a lorry ploughed into a Christmas market.
Putin said:  “We have to know who directed the hand of the killer.”
Mr Karlov’s killer shouted “Allahu Akbar”, “Don’t forget Aleppo” and “We are the one who pledged allegiance to Muhammed to wage jihad”.

FROM VIDEO:
Russian President Vladimir Putin called for increased security measures in and outside of Russia, following the assassination of the Russian ambassador to Turkey in Ankara, and a deadly lorry attack in Berlin. The leader was speaking during a ceremony for Russian security service employees in Moscow on Tuesday.
SOT, Vladimir Putin, Russian President (Russian): “Russian Ambassador Andrei Gennadiyevich Karlov was meanly killed yesterday in Ankara. Now a thorough investigation of all the circumstances of the crime is being carried out. Of course, this causes us a very special pain. We know what is happening in other countries. It seems that now Europe faced the similar crime. Many people died in Berlin. We express sympathy and wish speedy recovery to the injured. We would like to remind once again that we offered many times and offer now to join efforts in the fight against international terror. This is the only way we can win. I ask the security services to take additional measures to ensure security inside and outside Russia, to increase the security of Russian overseas agencies and their staff. And I ask you to strengthen the work with the special services of other states via partner channels.”

Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Numan Kurtulmus said that Karlov’s murder is being “examined meticulously.”Calling the assassination of the Russian ambassador to Turkey an “open provocation,” Kurtulmus noted that the investigation is now focusing on the 22-year-old gunman and his “connections”.“It’s obvious that it’s a loud and clear provocation,” Kurtulmus said, according to Hurriyet daily news. “We will never back down from our determination to take new peaceful steps in Turkey’s foreign policy, especially in the context of developing Turkey-Russia relations. We hope that these attacks will not negatively affect mutual relations.”
Further RT reports some troubling news for the United States in the fact, Gulen, spoken of below resides in the United States…he is suspect in my opinion, but the US under President Obama has protected him.  Hillary Clinton is a very close associate of his.
The US State Department has dismissed claims of having had any involvement in the murder of Andrey Karlov. Earlier on Tuesday, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu told the US Secretary of State John Kerry that Fetullah Organization (FETO) was behind Karlov’s assassination.  “It’s a ludicrous claim, absolutely false, there’s no basis of truth in it whatsoever,” State Department spokesman John Kirby told reporters.  American based cleric Fetullah Gulen and his FETO group are accused by Ankara of staging the failed July 15 coup. The Turkish government claims it continues to infiltrate Turkish institutions, namely the military, police and judiciary, to form what Ankara calls a “parallel state”. “The secretary in his conversation with the foreign minister did raise his concerns about some of the rhetoric coming out of Turkey with respect to American involvement/support, tacit or otherwise, for this unspeakable assassination yesterday because of the presence of Mr. Gulen here in the United States,” Kirby said.

(TRANSCRIPT) “News came today from Turkey where the ambassador of Russia was cowardly killed, Karlov Andrea Genadievich.
First of all I would like to give my sincere condolences to the family and friends of our fallen comrade. I request the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to award him posthumous and offer proposals for making a memorial.  He died on duty.
He was a brilliant diplomat, who was widely respected in the country where he was posted. He had a good relationship, both with the Turkish government as well as other political forces. He was respected among them.
Andrey Genadievich was also a very intelligent and gentle man – kind.  I know this first-hand because I knew him personally, and during my last trip to Turkey in the autumn of this year he was accompanying me during the whole trip.  This murder is clearly a provocation aimed at derailing the normalization of Russo-Turkish relationship, and also the peace in Syria, which is actively promoted by Russia, Turkey, Iran and other countries interested in peace settlement of the Syrian conflict.
There could only be one response, escalation of war on terror; and the bandits will feel this.
The Investigative Committee of Russia has already launched an investigation into the murder.
They are tasked with forming a work group which shall immediately leave for Ankara to take part, along with Turkish partners, an investigation of this crime.
This agreement has been reached just now in a phone call with the Turkish President.  We must know who guided the hand of the killer.  We must reinforce the security of the diplomatic missions and consulates of Russia in Turkey.
Also, we must get guarantees from the Turkish side about the security of Russian diplomatic missions in accordance with the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations. And I request you to present your coordinated offers for strengthening the security measures of Russian diplomatic missions abroad”. (end transcript)
