The Narrative now switched to: “The Capitol Police were on the Protester’s/Trump’s side.” But if that’s the case why did Pelosi/J6 Committee call the Capitol Police “heroes” and even throw a special gold medal ceremony for them? They had to have seen the security camera footage right?

DISCLAIMER: I think both parties suck and are currently the enemy of the people. I would like more transparency from our leaders (big ask, I know) and that’s why I’m making this post.

Just reading through the comments on the posts here the past couple of days, it seems users acting in bad faith/gaslighting have now switched up their talking point to “The security camera footage is proof the officers loved Trump and were actively helping the InSuRrEcTiOnIsTs.” If that were the case, wouldn’t the January 6th Committee (comprised of both parties) and the appropriate agencies go after these officers really hard? From what I can tell, only one Officer was charged but it stems from his actions AFTER January 6th (during the investigation). That officer was also not on duty at the time and wasn’t at the Capitol on January 6th. So, why go through all of the theatrics of calling them heroes and having a special ceremony to honor them? They had access to and even tried to suppress the same footage that was released just a couple of days ago!

Side note: This quote from Pelosi in the source I provided below is absolutely disgusting and disgraceful: “We gather here – exactly 23 months ago, our nation suffered the most staggering assault on democracy since the Civil War.”
