Target used to be the fun store. Now shoppers are pulling their phones out in the aisles – and what they are filming is not fun at all.
A $130 trip with $35 of charges for items that were never in the cart. A camera order that showed up as a 20-pound dumbbell. An $86 toy that sits on a Costco shelf for $57. Sweaters that went from $20 to $28 and got thinner at the same time. Shampoo, deodorant and toothpaste locked behind plexiglass. Self-checkout lanes closed with almost no cashiers open. Sealed collectibles cut open by staff. A return policy that makes a grown adult bring a second person’s ID. Dynamic pricing that nobody announced. And a Target employee of five years saying, on camera, that she would never shop there as a customer.
Every clip is a real shopper, filmed inside a real store, in their own words. Nothing here is staged and nothing here is rare – that is the part that should worry Target.
