Trump now has more room to use this law against alleged gang members. That means you’re probably going to see more deportations, more people being classified as gang members and a lot more fights over who actually qualifies.
And that’s where this gets nasty.
Because the government can say someone is Tren de Aragua. The person can say they aren’t. Then somebody has to decide who is telling the truth.
The Supreme Court hasn’t removed that fight.
It just moved the fight into a much bigger immigration battle.
