US stock index futures edge higher today as tech shares stabilize after weekly selloff

US stock index futures advanced in Sunday evening trading today, with Nasdaq futures climbing 0.61% to 29,295 and S&P 500 futures adding 0.44% to reach 7,693. Dow futures gained 158 points to 52,552 as equity markets stabilized following last week’s sharp tech sector pullbacks and heavy AI infrastructure spending anxieties.

The modest futures rebound coincides with a mild retreat in energy benchmark prices after global crude breached 114 dollars a barrel late last week. On October 23, wild energy price swings and mega cap technology selloffs sent volatility gauges higher, prompting investors to recalculate capital expenditure risk ahead of upcoming big tech quarterly earnings disclosures.
